What is Sound Therapy?

Sound Therapy is a form of sensory therapy that uses vibration, the principles of resonance, and entrainment for healing, stress reduction, and to promote overall wellbeing.

How Does it Work?

It works by applying specific frequencies that affect the body's nervous system. A perfect example of this is if a massage therapist touches and rubs tissue then a sound therapist would vibrate the tissue.

Whats The Theory Behind it?

It is believed that sound therapy can alter physiological responses and effect emotion. Since we know that everything naturally vibrates at its own innate resonant frequency, a sound therapist works with vibration to trigger a natural resonance in the body which affectively massages the body with sound. This has been shown to be extremely effective for stress relief and whole body relaxation.

Consistency is Key

Therapy requires a concentrated effort on a consistent basis to receive the fullest benefits. Myself and other therapists recommend 2 sessions per month. If you are going through something challenging, whether mental, emotional or physical, a weekly session is suggested during that time. Even if you consider yourself to be in the best of health, regular treatment could strengthen the system and therefore help prevent future illness and disease.

Warning!

I Strongly recommend that you should not participate in a sound therapy session if you have any health concerns or conditions or issues that may prelude you from safely participating.
